we have a amaryllis plant, it has 5 flowers on ,is this rare ?

Only because they would sell out first. In a really good flower shop they would be available, but if you got it at Wal MArt, dude buy a lotto ticket, because you have LUCK.

Reply:No, the number of flowers depends upon how large the bulb and how healthy it is. It is not uncommon to have four or five.
Reply:if it's just one stalk, yeah, that's really rare. if it's coming off a bunch of different sprouts, you just have a mature bulb
